You may also be eligible for a Google Nest thermostat rebate or even installation at no additional cost through your energy provider. If you want to [turn off a specific Rush Hour event](#heading-3), just change the temperature on your thermostat. To stop participation in all future Rush Hour events, you can [cancel your enrollment in the program](#heading-4). For complete details about the Rush Hour Rewards energy program, go to [Rush Hour Rewards](https://support.renewhome.com/en_us/learn-about-rush-hour-rewards-ry5GZAjdxx). ### Sign up for Rush Hour Rewards You’ll need 3 things to sign up for Rush Hour Rewards. * An account with an energy partner participating in one of our energy saving programs. * An eligible Nest thermostat added to a Google account in the Google Home app or Nest app.  * Eligibility may include requirements like having your Nest thermostat connected to central air conditioning to participate in summer Rush Hour Rewards programs. You’ll typically get an email to sign up for Rush Hour Rewards a few days after you install your thermostat and connect it to an account in the Google Home app or Nest app. You can also search for Rush Hour Rewards programs in your area and sign up anytime. Once you submit your application to join a Rush Hour Rewards program, your energy partner will review your application and reach out when you’ve been accepted. This process varies depending on your energy provider and can take up to several weeks. **Note**: _Your Nest thermostat can help you use energy wisely, even if Rush Hour Rewards aren’t available for your area. Tap **Settings**. 3. Under Nest services & support, tap **Subscriptions**. 4. Tap **Rebates & rewards**. 5. Follow the rest of the onscreen prompts to enroll in programs that are available to you. **Nest app** 1. Open the Nest app. 2. Tap **Settings - Rebates & Rewards.** 3. Check the energy saving programs available in your area. Tap on your energy provider to learn more and sign up. ### Stop a Rush Hour event Simply change the temperature on your thermostat to stop participating in the Rush Hour event. You’ll stay enrolled in Rush Hour Rewards, and your thermostat will participate in the next Rush Hour event. If you repeatedly stop participation in the events, you may lose out on some program incentives depending on your energy provider’s participation requirements. Please check your program requirements for details. When you’ve successfully opted out of an event, the Nest Leaf is removed from your Nest thermostat’s display and the app. ### Unenroll from Rush Hour Rewards You may cancel or unenroll from Rush Hour Rewards at any time. Once you unenroll, your thermostat will no longer participate in Rush Hour events and you will no longer be eligible for future program rewards this season. Additionally, unenrolling before the end of the season may result in the forfeiture of enrollment incentives or thermostat purchase discounts for some programs. **In the Google Home app:**  1. Open the Google Home app. 2. Tap **Home Settings**, then **Subscriptions**. 3. Tap **Rush Hour Rewards**, then click “Unenroll from from Rush Hour Rewards."   * A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm you would like to unenroll from Rush Hour Rewards. 4. Click on “Unenroll." 5. A confirmation message will appear to confirm you have unenrolled from Rush Hour Rewards. **Note:** it could take 24 hrs for this change to take effect. **In the Nest app:** 1. Open the Nest app. 2. Tap **Settings**, then **Rush Hour Rewards**. 3. Tap **Rush Hour Rewards & Seasonal Savings** then click “Unenroll from from Rush Hour Rewards.” * A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm you would like to unenroll from Rush Hour Rewards. 4.
